Claudia J. Miller, 64, of Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born January 18, 1948 in Washington, IL; the daughter of Franklin C. and Ruth Lantz Piper. She married Charles R. Miller on August 14, 1976 at the Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville and he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Miller was a graduate of the Illinois Braille and Sight Saving School (now ISVI) in Jacksonville. She was employed many years as a switchboard operator at the Jacksonville Developmental Center and later at Illinois School for the Visually Impaired.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery in Jacksonville where the family will meet friends following the services.
