Harry E. Wease, 78, of Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

He was born June 9, 1934 in White Hall, IL; the son of Harry and Iva Mildred Dickson Wease. He married Barbara Wallace in 1993 at Bowling Green, MO and she survives.

He is also survived by six children, Mike Wease (wife, Patricia) of Jacksonville, Walt Wease (companion, Lori Downs) of Girard, Rhonda Quitfhat of Connecticut, Greg Wease (wife, Susan) of Scottville, Frank Wease of Palmyra, and Jody Davis (husband, Mike) of Jacksonville; two step daughters, Mandy Sitton of Cambria and Amy Smith of Glenarm; nine grandchildren, Jordan Saffell, Destinie Wease, Dustin Wease, Natasha Grady, Dennis Grady, Cheyanne Wease, Cody Wease, Devin Hunt, and Margie Hilderbrand; five great grandchildren, Keaton Vaughn, J.C. Wilbourn, Rex Upton, Maddie Combs, and Grace Louis; a brother, Larry Wease (wife, Dee) of Roodhouse; a sister, Beverly Conway of Roodhouse; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Adrian and Myron Don Wease; and a sister, Vera Dawdy.

Mr. Wease was a retired truck driver.

At his request, cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to Barb Wease for a monument fund.
