Glenna Fae Cochran, 84, of South Jacksonville, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at her home. She was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Benton, the daughter of Dewey and Bertha Cardwell Green. She married Verne L. Cochran on Aug. 27, 1950, in Jacksonville and he survives. She is also survived by two sons and one daughter, Steve (Brenda) Cochran of Virginia, Debbie (Jerry) French of North Augusta, SC, and Ron (Beth) Cochran of Auburn; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Cook of South Jacksonville; and one brother, Richard Green of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Michael French; one brother, Ralph Green; and two sisters, Velma House and Reva Surratt. Mrs. Cochran was a longtime employee and retired from Capitol Records in Jacksonville. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spoiling her children and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Hebron Cemetery northeast of Jacksonville.
