Barbara Elaine Floyd, 71, of Jacksonville, IL, died Monday, July 22, 2024, at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, MO.

She was born July 26, 1952, in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of Carl and Katherine (Withrow) Butcher. She married Freddie Eugene Floyd on Sept. 3, 1973, in Jacksonville, and he survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Charlie Butcher.

Barbara was a 1972 graduate of Jacksonville High School and had worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for several years. She attended Westfair Baptist Church for many years and worked in the daycare. She enjoyed BINGO, bowling, cooking, drawing and coloring, going to the movies with Freddie, attending county fairs and the state fair, Mickey Mouse, and her cat, "Baby".

The family will host a memorial service 3:00 PM Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Westfair Baptist Church in Jacksonville, followed by a dinner at the church. Burial will be held at a later date. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent online at buchanancody.com.
