Betty L. Lomelino, 98, of Manchester, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at White Hall Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born on February 17, 1927, in Greene County, the daughter of Ivan Myer and Nina Walker. She married Merle A Lomelino on December 24, 1945, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2016.

Betty is survived by one son Mark A. (Tawanda) Lomelino of California; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Seymour of Alton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Steven M. Lomelino (surviving wife Rae of Manchester), and Gary D. Lomelino (surviving wife Martha of Vista, CA); one brother, Bill (surviving wife Rita of Godfrey); and four sisters, Dean, Joy, Mamie, and Nancy.

Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of First Church of God and she loved the Lord. She enjoyed going out to eat and writing poems. She especially loved her family.

Private family services will be held at a later date, with burial at Manchester Cemetery. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
