Brandon Eric Pennell, 39, of South Jacksonville, IL passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.

He was born Dec. 17, 1985, in Jacksonville, the son of Eric and Tammy (Cardwell) Pennell. He married Paige Sisson on Sept. 21, 2024, at his parents' home and she survives.

He is also survived by his parents of rural Roodhouse; maternal grandparents, Delbert and Bette Cardwell of Roodhouse; and paternal grandmother, Pat Claussen of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Jerry and Lynne Pennell.

Brandon was a 2004 graduate of New Berlin High School. He had been the Store Manager at Farm & Home in Jacksonville for many years, and most recently worked as an over-the-road truck driver for DOT Foods in Mt. Sterling. He enjoyed online video gaming. He loved taking walks with Paige and his beloved dogs, Kimber and Casper, spending time with his family, and hosting family parties. Brandon gave the best hugs in the world.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1 - 5 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the VFW Post #1379 in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to PAWS. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
