Brenda Kaye Graham, 70, of Virginia, IL, passed away at 7:06 am Friday, July 21, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born March 12, 1953, in Jacksonville, to James and Betty Jean (Walton) Baptist, and she survives in Virginia. Brenda married Robert Graham on August 24, 1974, in Jacksonville, and he also survives.

She is also survived by her four daughters, Brandi Rayes of Jacksonville, Candi (Paul) Shaver of rural Chandlerville, Tiffany Graham of Jacksonville, and Brittany Graham of Virginia; as well as a host of grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James; brother, Ron; and daughter, Jalisa.

Mrs. Graham was a 1971 graduate of Virginia High School. She later attended and graduated from Marilyn Hickey Bible College, Lincoln Land Community College, and the University of Illinois. She retired from the Illinois School for the Deaf, and then worked various jobs post-retirement. Brenda was also a former longtime member of the Assembly of God Church in Virginia, P.E.O.P.L.E., AFSCME, and Morgan County Democrat Women.

She loved her family and acted in support of a multi-generational household. While in the arms of her heavenly Father, she will be missed by many.
