Brenda Faye Pond, 73, of Meredosia, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born October 1, 1950, in Jacksonville to Herschel and Mary Moore.

She is survived by her three children: Kelly (Robert) Martz of North Canton Ohio, Tyler (Deb) Pond of Meredosia, and Crystal Pond of Bluffs. She has five grandchildren: Jayden Ford, Braydan Vanhyning, Brianna Vanhyning, Addalin Pond, and Tholan Pond. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Gail Moore of Jacksonville, Darla Stambaugh of Jacksonville, and Susie Woodley of Red Level, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, John and Lucy Steele, Harry Moore, and Sylvia Meyer, a brother, James David Moore, and a granddaughter, Alexandra Martz.

Brenda was married to Stanley McEvers and later divorced, and Roger Pond later divorced. Her later years she spent with Gary Frost until his passing.

Brenda graduated in 1968 from Jacksonville High School. She worked at Sandy's during her teen years and later at Capital Records. She also worked at Tempos and bartended for many years.

She loved spending time with her children, taking care of her flowers and had a special place in her heart for her two poodles, Mary and Gracie.
