Charles Kenneth "Kenny" Curtis, 76, of Jacksonville, IL, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. He was born Oct. 20, 1945, in Jacksonville, the son of Charles Russel and Annette Eva McLean Curtis. He is survived by his children; one brother, Gary Curtis of Austin, TX; two sisters, Jeanette (Eddie) Dolen of Winchester and Janet (Mike) Lynn of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Sara Summers; two sisters, Doris Kaiser (surviving husband Michael and his wife Carol of Alexander) and Barbara Crews; one brother, Harold Curtis; and two nephews, Troy Dolen and Frederick Jay Kaiser. Mr. Curtis was a 1963 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He worked at the Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD) for many years. Kenny had also worked at Oscar Mayer in Beardstown. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Memorials are suggested to ISD Students Fund.
