She is survived by her family, sister, Lesa (Mike) Werries of Jacksonville, Illinois; brother, Mike (Rene' Surratt) Ruyle of Chatham, Illinois; brother, Matthew (Judy Maasen) Ruyle of Waverly, Illinois; and twenty-one nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three special devoted friends, Jeri Wenneker of Chatham, Illinois, Janet (Ed) Hayes of Jacksonville, Illinois, Janet Auld of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and her beloved cat, Mister. Chris was a 1975 graduate of Triopia High School. Chris attended Lincolnland Community College. She became a certified paramedic and touched the lives of countless individuals through her loving, compassionate, and caring dedication to the service. She recently retired from Special School District in St. Louis and she especially loved her students there. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinal's and Blue's fan and loved attending the games with family and friends. In 1980, she won the hand car race, which qualified her to be in the Guinness Book of World Records. She was the owner of a resale store called The Treasure Chest. She became an auctioneer and was an avid seller on eBay. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her mom going to sales looking for bargains. She loved her family and friends dearly. She also loved the Lord with all her heart and boldly told others.

The family will host a Celebration of Life Service 11:00 am Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Chapin Christian Church. Casual attire is requested. In honor of her love for her favorite teams, we encourage you to wear your Cardinals or Blues gear. A private burial for family will be held prior to the service at Winchester City Cemetery.
