James "Chuck" Rowe, 59, of Jacksonville, IL, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, at home. He was born August 7, 1963, in South Roxana, the son of Virgil T. and Ida Six Rowe. He married Sonya Beddingfield on Feb. 18, 1989, in Jacksonville, and she survives. He is also survived by his stepmother, Carol Rowe; two sons, J.T. Rowe (Emily) and Zeke Rowe (Ali); stepson, Derek Elmore (Erica); several grandchildren; four brothers, Tony (Tracy) Rowe, Jerry (Monica) Rowe, Mike Rowe and Chris Willoughby; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Eddie and Ronnie Rowe. Chuck was a 1982 graduate of Jacksonville High School and had worked at EMI in Jacksonville for over 20 years. He enjoyed camping at Lake Jacksonville and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 6 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
