Ransom, 62, of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. She was born Oct. 8, 1958, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Stanley L. and Janice Pond Ransom. She is survived by her mother, Janice Chute of Jacksonville; one son, Jason (Tracy) Ransom of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Heather Ransom, Jordan Ransom, and Jason Ransom, Jr., all of Jacksonville; two great grandchildren, Rylee and Jack Ransom; four sisters, Susie (Bill) Bauser, Tena Beddingfield, Julie Downs, and Jodie Willoughby, all of Jacksonville; her stepsister, LeeAnn Crowley of Jacksonville; stepbrother, Eddie Chute of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; one great-grandson, Jordan Lee Ransom, Jr.; and two stepbrothers, Robert Gale Chute and Steven Chute. Cindy was dedicated to genealogy and studying her family tree. She especially loved spending time with her great granddaughter, Rylee. Private family services will be held.
