Craig E. Grimsley, 51, of Jacksonville, IL passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

He was born July 15, 1974, in Jacksonville, the son of George and Sandra (McKinnon) Grimsley of Jacksonville and they survive.

Craig is also survived by two daughters and a son, Tiffany Grimsley (Derek Ziegler) of Roodhouse and Tyler (Courtney) Grimsley, and their daughter Elliott, of Virginia, both the children of Craig and Kim Mefford (deceased), and Josie Grimsley of Jacksonville, the daughter of Craig and Erin Studer; one sister, Mandy (Eddie) Beddingfield of Winchester; and two nieces, Miranda and Maggie Beddingfield.

Craig was a 1992 graduate of Jacksonville High School, and had worked for West Side Auto Parts, Western Asphalt, Byers International Trucking, and most recently for American Rental. He was a hard worker, was very involved with Stock Car racing, and he loved watching racing in his or his good friend Ralph Willhite's garage. Craig never met a stranger and if you were a friend you were a good friend.

A private family service will be held with burial at the Diamond Grove Columbarium. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
