Crystal Rose Russwinkel, 82, of Jacksonville, IL passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Sunrise Skilled Nursing in Virden.

She was born December 9, 1943, in Winchester. She married Wayne Russwinkel in 1988 and he survives.

She is also survived by her son, Vance Thomas of San Juan, Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Amanda "Mandy" Rogers Williams and Brandon Rogers; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Janelda (Terry) Ranson of Winchester. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Nancy Rachel "Shelly" Mier; and two sisters, Amber Fawn Rider and Sheryl Dawn Rider.

Mrs. Russwinkel worked at J. Capps & Sons. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Crystal enjoyed playing the organ. Her daughter, Shelly, was very special to her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family, in care of Wayne Russwinkel, to assist with expenses. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
