Dakota "Cody" Kaine Partridge, 24, of Jacksonville, IL passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024. He was born Sept. 4, 1999, in Springfield.

He is survived by his mother Missy Bramblett and her fiancé and Cody's stepfather Nate Kerr of Jacksonville; his brother Bryton Partridge (Whitney), grandmother Mary Bramblett, uncle Bobby Bramblett (Tina), aunt Rosie Bramblett, cousins Jayden (Peyton) and Aiden, all of Springfield; his significant other, Aliana Mathis and son Anthony, and soon to be born Dakota Lee Partridge, all of Jacksonville; grandmother Cynthia Bramblett and grandmother Valerie Henshaw; and Brandon Partridge, aunt Jenny (Mikey) Owens; and cousins Michael, Anthony, and Allison; and Nate's family Bob and Pat Kerr, Debbie and her children Taylor and Wes, and Anita and her children James and Anna, all of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Bramblett; and uncle Billy Bramblett.

Cody was an assistant manager at Sonic Drive-In in Jacksonville. He was a kindhearted soul with a bit of an ornery side, with big blue eyes and an infectious laugh. When he loved, he loved hard. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, rap music, and tattoos. He loved his family and he loved Aliana and thought of little Anthony as his own. He was excited and looking forward to welcome his baby boy, Dakota, in to the world.

A funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends 4-6 p.m. prior to the service.
