David P. "Dave" Watt, 78, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at the Grove in Jacksonville.

He was born Feb. 15, 1945, in Jacksonville, the son of Paul and Pauline (Eymann) Watt. He married Judith "Judy" Hazelwood on Nov. 20, 1965, in Jacksonville, and she survives.

He is also survived by three sons, Robert "Rob" (Sonya) Watt, Brian (Kris) Watt and Ralph (Cheryl) Willhite, all of Jacksonville; two granddaughters; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Watt.

Dave was a 1963 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He worked for Howard Hembrough Motors, and later for Ray Green Chevrolet, and finally for Bob Hawks Auto Body, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed camping at Lake Jacksonville and fishing, and especially enjoyed a good cold beverage.
