Deanna May Wise, 72, of Pleasant Plains, IL, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg. She was born June 19, 1949, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Richard Trowbridge and Mary E. Norris Wagner. She married Carl W. Wise on Sept. 12, 1978, at their home in Springfield, and he survives. She is also survived by four children, Mary Armstrong (Jim) Fields, Carl William (Trudy) Wise, Lori (John) Harrison, and Wendy Jo Wise; nine grandchildren, Alison Harrison (Brett) Wall, Melanie Harrison (Jack) Walters, Theresa Jacobs (Armando), Diana Ingersoll (Wes) Thomas, Megan Fields, Blake Harrison, Brock Harrison, Patrick Fields, and Joshua Fields; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis (Linda) Trowbridge and Sam (Jean) Wagner; and brother-in-law, James Lynn Wise. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Mitchell Trowbridge. Deanna had worked in the Human Resources Department for more than 20 years at CIPS, and then for SIU School of Medicine until her retirement. She enjoyed doing crafts and baking treats for her grandchildren, as well as traveling with Carl. A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
