Debra Lynn Wright, 62, of Jacksonville, IL, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Pleasant Dale Place in Girard. She was born Jan. 17, 1959, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Harold E. and Naomi Newingham Wright. She is survived by her mother, Naomi; her sister, Barbara (Troy) York of Paducah, KY; one niece, Kelsy (Isaac) Stone of Paducah, KY; one nephew, Kyler (Katie) York of Crestwood, KY; and her great-nephew, Cole York. She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother in infancy, Steven Eugene Wright. Debra attended Armstrong Junior High School and Jacksonville High School. Her parents were among the founding members of Pathway Services which she was actively involved in, especially with the Girl Scouts and the Special Olympics Bowling Team. She attended Camp Courage for many years, eventually becoming a Junior Counselor. Debra was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed country music, watching soap operas, and loved spending holidays with her family. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at Diamond Grove Cemetery.
