Delight Verna Bradley, 88, of Jacksonville, IL, died Thursday, Mar. 10, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield. She was born Jan. 9, 1934, in Oakland, CA, the daughter of Gilbert and Danzel Ward Snyder. She is survived by three daughters, Susan Huth of Jacksonville, Gail Bussberg of Kingman, AZ, and Sandra (Daniel) Estrada of Mariposa, CA; one granddaughter, Caren (Jeremy) Helmich of Jacksonville; four great grandchildren, Michael Allen, currently stationed in Belgium, Sierra (Luke) Osmer of Virginia, Jessica (Jeffrey) Hansen of Jacksonville, and Andrew (Lydia) Helmich of Jacksonville; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Halverson of Etiwanda, CA, and Lynda (Russ) Hersman of Orlando, FL; and one brother, David (Dorothy) Snyder of San Juan Capistrano, CA. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Cynthia Allen (surviving husband Dennis of Ashland); and two brothers, Irving Snyder and Benny Snyder. Delight earned her G.E.D. at the age of 50 and then went to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was loved by her patients due to her kindness and was very committed to whatever she set her mind to. She was outgoing, warm and friendly, never met a stranger, and was much loved by those who knew her. There will be no services.
