Denise Sue Lawson, 56, of Virginia, IL, died, Friday, September 8, 2023, at her home alongside her son, Randy Dale Lawson.

She was born November 26, 1966, in White Hall, to Archie Lee and Carol Sue (Behnen) Heberling. She married Roland Lawson, and he survives.

She is survived by her mother, Carol Sue Heberling; her daughter, Jessica Lawson (Dylan O'Keefe); grandchild, Hope Reeder; two brothers and one sister, Jim (Veronica) Heberling, David (Kellie) Heberling, and Lisa (Mark) Talkington. She was preceded in death by her father.

Services for Denise and Randy will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
