Dolores L. Trissel, 82, of Virginia, IL, died Friday, December 15, 2023, at The Grove Nursing and Rehab in Jacksonville.

She was born October 13, 1941, in Akron, OH, the daughter of Clarence and Helen (Singer) Collins. She married Gerry Trissel, and he survives.

Dolores is also survived by her children, Val (Rick) Lenover of Virginia, Chris (Brenda) Trissel of Ashville, NC, Daniel (Ruth) Trissel of Ashland, Amy Trissel of Jacksonville, Leigh Anne (Tony) Millner of Virginia, and Jennifer (Brian) Thompkins of Mascoutah; grandchildren, Nick (Jessica) Lenover, Zack Lenover, Madelyn Lenover (Robbie Edwards), Amanda (Kevin) Boughter, Meghan (Brandon) Green, Kelsey Tibbs, Lily Trissel, Grace Trissel, Ryan Trissel (Sydney McClendon), Alex Trissel, Tyler Trissel, T.J. Anderson, Justin Anderson, Holly Anderson, Jessie Millner, Josie Millner, Wyatt Millner, Cole Millner, and Gabriel Thompkins; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Marcia) Collins of Canal Fulton, OH; family friend, Joe Reed; and her dog, Jake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gary "Bo" Trissel.

Dolores graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, OH. She enjoyed reading, trivia, and listening to music.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at buchanancody.com.
