Donna Elaine Strowmatt, 86, of Jacksonville, IL, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. She was born Sept. 26, 1935, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Orval and Leola Campbell Smock. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Chad (Fritzi) Strowmatt of Houston, TX, and their children Aurlee Glover, A.J. Strowmatt, Logan (Hunter) Hawkins and their daughter Lincoln Hawkins, and Haden Strowmatt; Jason Strowmatt of Highland Ranch, CO, and his son Aidan McBride; and Chrissy Strowmatt of Highlands Ranch, CO and her daughters Sydney Becker and Hanna Becker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Imogene Foster and Ella Mae Johns. Donna was a 1953 graduate of Illinois School for the Deaf. She worked at Hertzberg New Method and for Mobil Chemical in Jacksonville. She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and Jacksonville Community Center for the Deaf. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
