Dorothy Anna Millner, 91, of rural Virginia, passed away peacefully Monday, May 31, 2021, at her home. She was born Feb. 20, 1930, in rural Virginia, the daughter of Floyd A. and Mary E. Warner Armstrong. She married E.B. Millner, Jr. on July 28, 1951, in Virginia, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1999, after 47 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth "Gene" Armstrong (surviving wife, Shirley of Virginia); and two sisters and their husbands, Irene and Forrest Stephens, and Vivian and Dale Millner. Dorothy is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was employed for 45 years at Petefish, Skiles & Company Bank in Virginia, and together Dorothy and E.B. owned and operated the Virginia Gun Club. Dorothy was a member of the Virginia Church of Christ and a member of Adah Robinson Chapter #276 Order of the Eastern Star. She, along with her husband, enjoyed traveling, camping, trap-shooting, and square dancing, where they met many people that became life-long friends. Dorothy was extremely grateful for the numerous caregivers who provided her assistance and comfort in her final years at home. A graveside funeral service for family and friends will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. Memorial gifts are suggested to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
