Evelyn Bernice Hish, 95, of Virginia, IL died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, at Walker Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Cass County, the daughter of Jesse Sr. and Georgia Medlin Clement. She married Edgar A. Hish on Mar. 31, 1945, in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2011. She is survived by two daughters and one son, Shirley (Ronnie) Bell, Gary (Diane) Hish, and Evelyn "Kathy" (Robert) Trenter, all of Virginia; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Correll of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Marilyn Masten and MaLinda Daniel (surviving husband Robert of Virginia); three brothers, James Clement, J.R. Clement, and William Robert Clement; and one sister, Hazel Jordan. Mrs. Hish was a member of Virginia United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working on the farm alongside her husband. She also enjoyed quilting, and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private family service will be held.
