Florence R. Cremeens, 94, of Jacksonville, IL, died Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her home.

She was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Springerton, the daughter of Felix and Agnes (Savage) Foley. She married Warren Eugene Cremeens and they later divorced.

She is survived by two children, Gina Ripple of Kankakee and Rodney Cremeens of McAlester, OK; nine grandchildren, Loren, Aaron, Jody, Christopher, Taffi, Josh, Jeremy, Angelia Miller (David Perry) and Beverly Ripple; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Kevin Cremeens, Linda Miller and Patricia Cremeens; two great grandsons, including special great grandson, Bradley K. Coats; and six brothers and sisters.

Florence retired from Mobil Chemical as a machine operator after many years of service. She was a hard-working woman, and she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Angelia Miller and Beverly Ripple for their care of Grandmother Florence.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to P.A.W.S. or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at buchanancody.com.
