Glenda Bevill, a beloved wife, mom, sister, aunt, and dog grandmother passed away on May 4, 2020, in Springfield, Illinois. Mrs. Bevill was born in Conway, Arkansas on October 22, 1947. She was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert E. Bevill; sons, Scottie Bevill and wife Diane of Springfield, Illinois, and Jeffrey Bevill and wife Jennifer of Walker, Louisiana; and siblings, Virginia Carter, Jimmy Carter, and Connie Davis and their families residing in Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hulon and Clara Carter; and brother, Eugene Carter. Glenda was a breast cancer survivor and until retiring at the age of 66 the majority of her career was spent in the healthcare and insurance fields, first retiring from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Mississippi and retiring a second time from the insurance department of the City of North Little Rock. Over the years, she resided in Arkansas, Texas, Illinois, Utah, Arizona, and Louisiana. A private ceremony will be held at her final resting place, Crestlawn Memorial Park, in Conway, Arkansas at a future date.
