Harold A. Babb, 85, of Tallula, IL died Friday, July 22, 2022, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield. He was born January 7, 1937, in Cass County, the son of Mary "Budella" (Force) and Raymond "Buster" Babb. He married Rosemary Booth on August 8, 1959, in Waverly, and she preceded him in death on January 25, 2020. He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Lucas and Brenda Biggs, both of Springfield; three granddaughters, Trisha Lucas and great granddaughter, Tallulah, both of St. Louis, Tara Biggs of Ashland, and Kristi Biggs of Riverton; one sister, Catherine Brown (Donald) of Petersburg; his canine companion, Mitzi; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold was a graduate of Chandlerville High School and served in the Army Reserve. He had previously been employed at Fiat-Allis and retired from St. Frances Mother House in Springfield. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Virginia. A funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia with burial at Chandlerville Cemetery.
