Jacquelyn K. Dugger, 61, of Meredosia, IL, died Thursday, February 8, 2024, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

She was born March 12, 1962, the daughter of Jack D. and Susan (Griebler) Gregory. She married Jerry Dugger, and he survives.

Jacquelyn is also survived by her mother, Susan Hicks of Meredosia; daughter, Bridget Smith of Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Kaylee (Ben) Blake, Maddie (Logan) Crews, Jadyn Smith, and Jazmin Smith; great grandson, Lawerence Blake; siblings, Dave (Sherri) Gregory of Concord, Pam Gregory of Kellerville, Tony "Fred" Gregory of Meredosia, Carla (Randy) Henline of Versailles, and Alan (Holly) Gregory of Franklin; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Arlene.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack D. Gregory; stepfather, Irl "Bud" Hicks; and a nephew, Lucas Barfield.

Jacquelyn graduated from Meredosia High School in 1979. She later went on to a business college and achieved an associate degree. She worked as a bookkeeper. One of her favorite jobs was working at Liars Lake Exotics in Sparta, MO. She loved animals and even helped nurse some who needed it.

She had many interests, but she loved anything outdoors, like swimming, boating, and collecting rocks. She was a great collector of stuff. Jacquelyn enjoyed all holidays, but her favorites were Halloween and Christmas. She was even known to start decorating for Halloween in August. She also loved gardening and shopping. Jacquelyn was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, STL Blues, and STL Cardinals.

A visitation hosted by the family will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Meredosia Community Center from 5 - 7 PM. A graveside service announced soon.
