James A. Lyle, 71, 0f rural Franklin, IL, and formerly of Tulsa, OK, passed away at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital on Friday morning, December 16, 2022. He was born September 12, 1951, and married JaNell Carrigan in 1994. She survives along with a son, Kevin Lyle (Christine) of Gaithersburg, MD and two step-children, Jessica Summerbell (Richard) of rural Franklin and Corey Ward of Miami, FL. Aslo surviving are several grandchildren including Leona and Kaden of Gaithersburg, MD, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. James spent many years as a fluids engineer working the oil fields of south Texas, offshore Mexico, and Egypt. Most recently, he assisted his wife in the operation of Faith Printing Company in Jacksonville. His favorite activities included teasing his grandchildren, watching Discovery Channel's Gold Rush, and following NASCAR racing. Per his request, cremation will be accorded and private family services will be held at a later date.
