Jeffrey L. Dickison, 77, of South Jacksonville, IL, passed away, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Jeff was born March 2, 1946, in Casa Grande, AZ, the son of Lonzo and Clovis Joyce (Fox) Dickison. He married the love of his life, Jane, on Feb. 14, 1991. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jane Dickison of South Jacksonville; four children, Chris (Cathy) Dickison of San Angelo, TX, Joy (Chris) Gonzales of Clarksville, TN, Steve (Kathy) Brewers of Ashland, and Karri (JD) Walter of Springfield; ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack; and sister, Mary. Jeff was a 1964 graduate of Mt. Auburn (IL) High School and earned his masters degree from Sangamon State University. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1970. He later retired from ISVI as a psychologist. Jeff was the San Francisco Giants No. 1 fan and was an avid collector of baseball cards and books. He was also known as the CD King of Central Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded.
