Jennifer Ann Lindsey, 48, of Centreville, VA, and formerly of Jacksonville, IL, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, in Fairfax, VA. She was born February 13, 1973, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Ronald and Kay E. McGowen Lindsey. Jennifer is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kay and Tom Glossop of Jacksonville; sister, Allison Lindsey of Rogers, AR; brother, Michael (Sara) Lindsey of Jacksonville; stepbrother, Aaron (Missy) Glossop of Petersburg, IL; stepsister, Amanda (Barry) Webb of Nashville, TN; five nephews and two nieces; and paternal grandmother, Ruby Steed of Rogers, AR. She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Lowell and Georgia McGowen; paternal grandfather, Luther Lindsey; and paternal step grandfather, Earl Steed. Jennifer was a 1991 graduate of Jacksonville High School, and then graduated from Northern Illinois University. She then began her career as a Lead Program Analyst in the Major Fraud and Corruption Unit at the Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Inspector General. She was an active member of Lifetime Fitness in Centreville. Jennifer had also earned certification to be a Certified Professional Life Coach. According to a personal trainer at Lifetime Fitness, Jennifer "was very active here at lifetime. She did personal training, nutrition coaching, Pilates and 60 day challenges. She always gave her best effort and probably knew the 60 day challenge better than most of our trainers. I know she took her work/career very seriously and was always trying to reach high levels. She also discovered some Tony Robbins seminars and material and was very passionate about those programs. She was in the middle of trying to be an entrepreneur for herself and help as many people as she could. She was very passionate about personal growth and leadership and excelling to the best of her ability." "Jennifer was a certified professional coach in addition to holding a certification in Emotional Intelligence. Being the planner that she was, Jennifer was laying the ground work for when she left the 9/am -5/pm work world to begin her own business as a Leadership and Corporate Coach where she also had a certification."
