James C. "Jim" Elmore, 56, of Jacksonville, IL, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at his home. He was born Aug. 1, 1965, in Hillsboro, the son of Robert A. "Bob" Elmore Sr. and Mary Kay Kennedy Elmore. He is survived by his father of Jacksonville; one son, Christopher Elmore (Chelsea), and one daughter, Sasha Merryweather, both of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren, Noah Clark, Elijah Merryweather, Alivia Merryweather, Selina Merryweather, Xay Merryweather, Xander Merryweather, Emma Turner, and Ezekiel Roach, all of Jacksonville; and three brothers, Bob (Lynette) Elmore Jr. of Jacksonville, David (Becky) Elmore of South Jacksonville, and Tony Elmore of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his mother. Jim loved his family, and his grandchildren were his life. He was a free spirit who kept things interesting!
