John S. Ford, 71, of Franklin Illinois, passed away August 1, 2025, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born March 30, 1954, the son of Eldon and Betty (Davis) Ford.

John is survived by his children, Jason (Aleece) Ford of Franklin, Jamie Schumacher of Springfield, and Ben Ford of Franklin; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Alaina, Carson, Andrew, and Kollin Ford, and Luke (fiancé Samantha) and Aubrie Schumacher; and brother, David (Margaret) Ford of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Ford.

John enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping; and he especially loved the time spent with his grandchildren.

John's wishes were to be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life announced at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to the Waverly Rescue Squad and/or the Franklin Fire Department. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral in Jacksonville is assisting the family with arrangements.
