John Joseph Puls, 42, of Winchester, IL passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born March 13, 1983, in Jacksonville, the son of John E. and Ann L (Reiser) Puls. He married Tracy Clark and she preceded him in death on July 23, 2024.

He is survived by his sister, Katherine "Katie" (James) Fuqua of Winchester, and he especially loved their son, Edward.

Mr. Puls was a 2001 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He worked at Home Depot in Jacksonville for many years. He loved his job and his extended work family, and he enjoyed working on vehicles.

A celebration of life gathering will be hosted by the family at Rudi's Grill from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
