Judy L. Gerecke, 62, of Meredosia, IL died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022. She was born Aug. 31, 1960, in Beardstown, the daughter of Orville and Anna (Hankins) Campbell. She married David N. Gerecke on June 8, 1979, in Meredosia and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter and son, Melissa Gerecke (fianc David Burton) of Meredosia and William (Jaleaka) Gerecke of Meredosia; five grandchildren, Brittany Cummings of Springfield, and Justin Cummings, Peyton Cummings, Joslyn Gerecke, and Aslee Gerecke, all of Meredosia; one brother and two sisters, Jim (Debbie) Campbell of Beardstown, Cheryl (Kurt) Campbell of Meredosia, and Joyce Albers of Meredosia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Lisa Knapp. Mrs. Gerecke was a graduate of Beardstown High School and had been a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Meredosia. She enjoyed crafts, being outdoors, and flower gardening. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia, with burial at Oakland Cemetery.
