LeRoy Anderson, 81, of Virginia, IL died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. He was born July 5, 1941, in Virginia, the son of Howard P. and Beulah A. Gerdes Anderson. He married Edra Corbin Springer and she survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Toni Robinson of Philadelphia; one son Steve (Dorothy) Anderson of Virginia; two stepsons, Bob (Julie) Springer of Sparks, NV, and Mike (Patty) Springer of Redding, CA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother, George (Judy) Anderson of Springfield. Mr. Anderson was an assistant and then manager of the Philadelphia Elevator and later worked for Prentice Elevator. He was an active member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Ashland, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved God and his family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
