Linda "Lynn" Buchanan, 73, of Jacksonville, IL, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at her home.

She was born September 23, 1951, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Louis and Rosemary (McGrath) Vaniter.

Linda is survived by her son, Christopher "Chris" (Torrie) Buchanan of Springfield; grandchildren, River and Reed Buchanan, both at home; brothers, Tom (Vicky) Vaniter and Bill (Rita) Vaniter, both of Jacksonville; and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Wallis; granddaughter, Delaney Dyer; brother, Charles Vaniter; and her furry kid, Olivia.

Linda graduated from high school. She worked at EMI Capital Records in Jacksonville. She really enjoyed keeping up with family and spending time with her grandsons.

A visitation will be held from 1 - 3 PM Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. A private burial will be held at a later date at Asbury Cemetery.
