Lois June Madden Frields, 94, of Jacksonville passed away December 26, 2025, at Cedarhurst of Jacksonville.

She was born June 1, 1931, in Gideon, MO, to Charles and Gertrude (Clark) Madden. June married A.C. Frields on September 13, 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1982. She later married Harold Brangenberg in 2006, and he also preceded her in death in 2022.

June is survived by her son, Greg Frields of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Nellie Frields (Dawson Ingram) of Columbus, GA, Tracey (Michael) Norman of Key West, FL, and Andrew (Kara) Frields of Urbandale, IA; and great grandchildren, Mellie, Myles, Sedona, Connor, Carson, Caleb, Clara, Milo, and Simon. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three sisters; and two brothers.

She and A.C. owned and operated an upholstering drapery and wallpaper business. After A.C. passed away in 1982, she became employed at ISVI until her retirement in 1996. June was a part of the Christian Women's Connection, VFW Auxiliary and was a member of Central Christian Church for many years. Mrs. Frields enjoyed the students at ISVI and doing whatever she could to help anyone who needed it. She was also very interested in sports. She enjoyed softball, basketball, volleyball, and had even taken up golf after her retirement. June also liked to play cards or anything that was a challenge. She also enjoyed flowers around her home and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.

A graveside service will be held 10 AM Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Pleasant Plains Cemetery. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left online at buchanancody.com.
