Lori Lynn Harbison, 64, of Jacksonville, IL passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, at her home.

She was born Dec. 27, 1959, in Waterloo, IA. She was the daughter of John M. and Lucretia "Spanky" Shirley Stevens Hall. She married Terry Dean Harbison on Apr. 23, 1981, in Winchester and he preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2003.

She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Cody (Matt) Weimer of Winchester, Cory Harbison-Powell of Rushville, and Riley Harbison-Powell (partner Reagan Casson) of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Tessa, Mason, Mylee, and Taelyn, with her fifth grandchild, Royce on the way; two step-grandchildren, Kolby and Kelsey; one brother, Michael R. "Rusty" Hall of Chatham; and several nieces and nephews, including her special nieces, Heather (Shane) Baker, Morgan Baker and her partner Ronald Miller, and their daughter, Symone Miller. Lori is also survived by her special friend who cared for her, Joyce Doyle of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Patricia "Penny" Daugherty and Pamela D. Chamberlain.

Lori was a 1977 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She had worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Jacksonville for many years and had also worked at Horace Mann in Springfield and JACOA. She enjoyed reading, gardening, going to the beach, and family vacations. She was sassy and feisty, loved having a beer with her friends, and she especially loved her dog, Cooper.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at the VFW Post 1379, 903 E. Morton Ave, Jacksonville, IL. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Cory Powell to assist with expenses. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family.
