Manessa Ferguson, 61, of Ashland, IL died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at her home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1962, in Owensville, IN, the daughter of Leo W. and Dora L. (Hunter) Pickett.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Ferguson of New Berlin; two daughters, Tonya Helferich (Kelly Buker) of Ashland and Tara Armer of Jacksonville; one son, Timothy Ferguson (Jamie Furguson) of Jacksonville; sixteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; four brothers, John Barrett (Amie Barrett) of Arenzville, Howard Barrett of Springfield, Wade Pickett of New Berlin and Donny Barrett of Rushville; two sisters, Donna Green (Randy Green) of Ashland and Susan Merz of Panama City, FL; and her long-time friend, Shawna Caffey of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mike; and her sister, Mary Lee.

Mom loved to laugh and had a funny sense of humor; she especially liked to make others laugh at her jokes. She loved Elvis and dancing to Eminem. Manessa loved spending time with her family, fishing, and loved her wrestling. She would watch Fox from the time she woke up to the time she went to bed, and also loved watching Lifetime movies. She loved drama but hated it at the same time.

"My mom is one hella fighter and the strongest woman ever. This is not goodbye, Mom, this is until we meet again. You are dearly loved and missed by all."
