Marilyn L. Petefish, 99, of Concordia Village, formerly of Virginia, IL passed away May 18, 2025.

She was born on January 13, 1926, in Springfield to Frank and Irene Dunlap Leahy. She married Glen C. Petefish on October 8, 1948, in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda K. Petefish of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gregory F. Petefish; her sister; and a niece and nephew.

She graduated from Virginia High School. Marilyn was a homemaker who enjoyed having an active social life. She especially enjoyed her various bridge clubs and spending winter months in Gulf Shores, AL.

A private service followed by a burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Cass-County Food Bank. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
