Marjorie Harris, 65, of Ashland, IL, died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born July 23, 1957, the daughter of James Albert and Emma Irene (McDaniel) Young in Jacksonville. Marjorie married Paul Harris Sr. on September 20, 1974, in Springfield, and he survives. She is also survived by three sons, Paul Harris Jr. (Niki Hinds), Nathan (Stephanie) Harris, and Daniel Harris, all of Ashland; grandchildren, LeAnn Harris, Paige Harris, Jasmine Harris, and Nathan Harris, all of Ashland; and three brothers and four sisters, Betty Lehan of Virginia, Tim (Connie) Young of Springfield, Judy (Jim) Miller of Ashland, Albert Young (fianc Heidi Hills) of Springfield, Angela Young of Ashland, Richard Young of Tallula, and Rhonda Joerger of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers and four sisters, Linda Sherman, Lena Arthur, Dora Tucker, Oliver Young, James Young, Charles Young, Mary Ruth Young, Maudie Creighton, and Forrest Young. Marjorie was a dog lover, especially poodles. She also loved music and spending time with her grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Ashland. The family will meet friends 4-6 p.m. at the church on Friday.
