Marjorie E. Morrell, 80, of Meredosia, IL passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at Beardstown Health & Rehab Center.

She was born Dec. 24, 1943, in Meredosia, the daughter of Albert and Opal (Bunch) Rausch. She married John F. "Jack" Morrell on May 12, 1962, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2024.

She is survived by her sons, Darin (Chris) Morrell of Ripley, Dewey Morrell of Meredosia, Danial (Brittnie) Morrell of Jacksonville; daughter, Deanna (Chris) Morath of Chambersburg; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Bobby Rausch. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two grandsons, Kyle Johnson and Kenneth Morrell; and five siblings, LeRoy Rausch (surviving wife Brenda of Jacksonville), Albert Duwayne Rausch, Nancy Rankin, Doris Ransom, and Teddy Rausch (surviving wife Sandra of Meredosia).

Mrs. Morrell was a lifetime member of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Meredosia. She enjoyed music, and she would gladly help anyone in need whether she knew them or not. She was very loyal to her family, and she loved and never missed any of her kids or grandkids many activities.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 29, 2024, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia, with burial at Oakland Cemetery. The family will meet friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested to Gospel Tabernacle Church.
