Martha G. "Granny" Hall, 87, of Jacksonville, IL, died Monday, June 27, 2022, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 18, 1935, in Bucyrus, OH, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Shiera Phillippi. She married Charles Gordon Hall on Feb. 16, 1968, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1999. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Pitts of Dallas, TX; grandson, Damen Lovell, Sr. of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Shayna Rattler of Dallas, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Randy, Devin, MaKenna and Daylen. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Damen "Bubba" Lovell, Jr. on Sept. 4, 1999; and several brothers and sisters. Martha enjoyed working at the Drexel in downtown Jacksonville for several years during the 1960s. She enjoyed shopping and she never hesitated to help others! She also loved indulging in her sweets! Granny was happiest spending time with her great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life! Private family services will be held with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery.
