Paul J. Williams, 66, of Jacksonville, IL, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab. He was born Dec. 18, 1954, in Jacksonville, the son of Thomas H. and Doris Jean Bridges Williams. He is survived by one son, John Thomas (Sarah) Williams of Hudson, FL; one daughter Melissa D. Williams of Roodhouse; four grandchildren, Bryton T. Williams, Ian L. Williams, Gyaudi J. Williams, and Graycen Williams; two sisters, Robyn K. Williams and Kelly (Mark) Bruins, both of Jacksonville; one nephew and two nieces, Jeremy (Layla) Gresham of Springfield, Sabrina Dietz of Jacksonville, and Tyler Harney of Murrayville; and his longtime friend, Gary Smock of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Trenton J. Williams. Mr. Williams worked 45 years as an electrician for Mobil Chemical, retiring in March, 2020. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville.
