Pauline R. Fundel, 93, of Jacksonville, IL, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at Cedarhurst of Jacksonville. She was born Dec. 31, 1929, in White Hall, the daughter of Hiram O. and Mary Jane (Dorks) Malin. She married Conrad L. Fundel on Dec. 31, 1952, in White Hall, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1973. She is survived by two grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Mueller of North Carolina and Janelle (Nick) Miller of Missouri; four great grandchildren, Kaydence Miller, Brayden Mueller, Alaina Mueller and Kelsey Miller; three sisters, Liz Camerer, Mildred Turner and Myrt Allen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers and one sister; and her daughter, Tysa Mueller (surviving husband, Dale of Missouri). Pauline was a graduate of White Hall High School and retired from GTE (General Telephone & Electronics Corporation). A graveside service will be held 10:30 am Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at Jacksonville Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.
