Margaret P. "Peggy" Devlin, 96, of Ashland, IL, died August 7, 2024, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.

She was born January 16, 1928, the daughter of J. Leo and Frances Plummer Devlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leo F. and James P. Devlin; and two sisters, Sue Mahoney, Mary Ann Ruppel; and two sisters and one brother in infancy.

Surviving are nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Peggy attended a rural country school and graduated from Virginia High School. She received her nursing degree from Quincy School of Practical Nursing in August, 1971. She was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Ashland. She was also very active in St. Augustine Altar and Rosary Society.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with burial at St. Augustine Cemetery. The family will meet friends 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or Walker Nursing Home.
