Phillip Allen "Pappy" Jackson, 79, of Jacksonville IL passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at his home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Bowling Green, MO the son of Ferman and Leona (McPike) Harris. He married Vera Murphy on Sept. 28, 1974, in Jacksonville and she survives.

He is also survived by his son, Nicholas Jackson, four grandchildren, Ariel, Gavin, Maizee, and J'Leigh Jackson, and his great granddaughter, Cora Eyer, all of Jacksonville.

Mr. Jackson worked at Mobil Chemical for many years. He then worked 20 years and retired from AC Humko. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
