Obituary

Rachyl Mercedes Springer, 37, of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026.

She was born March 9, 1989, in Jacksonville, the daughter of John Randall "Randy" Springer and Ronelle (Weber) Weder.

She is survived by her parents; her fiancé, Anthony Warcup; her son and daughter, Kayson Dvorak and Luna Warcup; siblings, Brooklynne Springer, Raegan (Paul) Nienhiser, and Riley Hearold; step siblings, Taylor Peak and Luk (Savannah) Weder; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Judith K. Weber; Anthony's parents, Edward Lee Warcup and Tammy Sue Miller; and many nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Springer.

Rachyl attended South Jacksonville Grade School, Bluffs Middle School where she was a cheerleader, and Jacksonville High School. Most recently, she had worked with her father at Good Time Docs in Jacksonville.

She loved the outdoors, especially stargazing, fishing, and kayaking. She also enjoyed crafting with her Cricut, making all kinds of gifts for others. Rachyl loved animals and had dogs, cats, and even turtles! She also enjoyed fireworks and listening to music. She was known to know all the best and newest music and was able to tell you what song it was no problem. She loved all kinds of music, but Motown was one of her favorite genres. Rachyl was so witty, as she was able to come up with the perfect quip that would always make everyone laugh. She was extremely loyal to people that she considered family, blood or not. She had a beautiful soul and will be missed by many, especially her parents who always rooted for her and can't imagine a world without her in it; her siblings, with whom she shared a special connection with; and her children, who were never far from her mind and permanently in her heart.

Private family services will be held, and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2 – 5 PM Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Good Time Docs. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.
