Randal Scot Davenport, 37, of Jacksonville, IL, died Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Springfield. He was born June 4, 1985, in Jacksonville, the son of Scot A. Davenport and Vicki Middendorf. Randal is survived by his father, Scot (Lesley) Davenport of Bluffs; mother, Vicki (Paul) Cristel of Arnold, MO; his grandmother, Janet G. Smith of South Jacksonville; sister, Amanda L. Davenport of Jacksonville; half-sister, Tiffany (Brian) Holsman of Merritt; nephews, Corvin Morris and Konner Holsman; nieces, Aria and Ava Holsman; two stepsisters, Ashley (Ross) Scoggins of Concord and Racenda Chaplin of Jacksonville; and four step-nephews and one step-niece, Collin and Chance Muffick, D.J. Swaringen, Ripley Scoggins, and Michael McDanold. Randal worked at Huey Tire Repair in Springfield and had also worked construction. He enjoyed skateboarding and drawing, and also loved to cook. He was a very good uncle to his nieces and nephews. Randal was very unique and had his own style. A graveside memorial service will be held 1 PM Friday, May 19, 2023, at Winchester City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of his grandmother, Janet Smith. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.
